Introduction to Sport Journalism

Introduction to Sport Journalism introduces students to the principles, practices, roles, and platforms of contemporary sports journalism. The module covers sports reporting, interviewing, commentary, analysis, photography, broadcasting, digital and multimedia journalism. Emphasis is placed on newsworthiness, ethics, source evaluation, verification, accuracy, and responsible use of technology and artificial intelligence. Students also develop practical sports-media skills through the coverage of sporting events.
