Disabilities In Physical Education: An Overview

Inclusive Physical Education and Sport examines the principles, practices, and strategies for ensuring that individuals of different abilities can participate meaningfully in physical education and sporting activities. The module explores disability and inclusion, adapted physical education, barriers to participation, inclusive teaching strategies, activity and equipment modification, accessibility, and the role of teachers and sport professionals in creating supportive and equitable environments. Emphasis is placed on practical approaches to adapting physical activities and sports to meet diverse needs while promoting participation, safety, dignity, social interaction, and equal opportunities for all.
